Personalised Primary Tuition Designed Around Your Child

Group Classes and One to Ones

Group Classes and One to Ones

Group Classes and One to Ones

Every child begins their learning journey from a different place.

Some children need support to catch up.

Others need stretching and challenge.

Some have lost confidence after finding school difficult.

Others simply benefit from individual attention that isn't always possible in a busy classroom.

Whether your child needs support with Maths, English, Reading, Phonics, KS2 SATs, 11+ or simply needs someone to help rebuild their confidence, I'd love to help.

Together, we can create a personalised learning journey that supports your child academically while helping them develop the confidence to enjoy learning again.

Primary Maths Tuition

Group Classes and One to Ones

Maths can often become overwhelming when children lose confidence.

A small gap in understanding can quickly grow into a much bigger obstacle, leaving children feeling frustrated or convinced they simply "aren't good at maths."

One of the first things I help children realise is that everyone can become a confident mathematician with the right support.

As a qualified Primary Teacher, I use practical resources, visual methods and carefully structured explanations that help children understand why mathematical concepts work -not just how to answer questions.

The aim isn't simply to improve results - it's to help children approach Maths with curiosity and confidence.

Online and Face-to-Face Tuition

Flexible Support That Fits Around Family Life

Every family has different needs.

That's why I offer both online and in-person tutoring.

Face-to-Face Tuition

For families in Mill Hill, Barnet, Finchley, Hendon, Edgware and the surrounding areas, in-person sessions provide a welcoming and supportive environment where children can engage with practical resources and personalised teaching.

Online Tuition

Online lessons provide the same personalised experience with added flexibility.

Interactive resources, digital whiteboards and engaging activities ensure children remain fully involved while allowing families to access high-quality tuition from the comfort of home.

Many parents are pleasantly surprised by how quickly children adapt to online learning and how enjoyable they find the sessions.

Children often begin tutoring because they need help with one specific subject.

However, parents frequently notice improvements that extend far beyond academic attainment.

Many children become:

✔ More confident in class.

✔ More willing to answer questions.

✔ Better organised.

✔ More independent.

✔ More resilient.

✔ Happier about going to school.

✔ More motivated to learn.

These are the qualities that support long-term success throughout education.

Reading and Phonics Support

Learning to read is one of the most important milestones in a child's education.

When reading feels difficult, confidence can quickly disappear.

That's why I take a calm, encouraging approach that helps children develop both the technical skills and the enjoyment needed to become lifelong readers. Support includes:

  • Early phonics
  • Blending and segmenting
  • High-frequency words
  • Reading fluency
  • Reading comprehension
  • Vocabulary
  • Inference skills
  • Reading confidence

Lessons are practical, interactive and enjoyable, helping children build positive associations with reading from an early age.

Exam Preparation

Confidence Building

Confidence Building

SATs and the 11+ can feel daunting for both children and parents. My aim isn't simply to prepare children for tests. It's to help them feel calm, confident and ready to demonstrate everything they're capable of.  This often  includes:

  • Reading comprehension strategies
  • Arithmetic fluency
  • Mathematical reasoning
  • Grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Practice papers
  • Time management
  • Confidence-building techniques

Rather than overwhelming children with endless practice papers, I focus on strengthening understanding so they feel prepared and resilient.

Supporting Children Without Adding Pressure.

Confidence Building

Confidence Building

Sometimes the greatest barrier to learning isn't ability.

It's confidence.

Some children arrive believing they aren't clever enough.

Perhaps they've struggled with a particular subject.

Perhaps they've compared themselves to classmates.

Perhaps they've simply experienced a few setbacks.

My role is to gently rebuild that confidence through encouragement, achievable challenges and celebrating every success along the way.

As children begin experiencing success, they become:

  • More willing to ask questions.
  • More resilient.
  • More independent.
  • More motivated.
  • More enthusiastic about learning.

These changes often extend far beyond academic achievement.

Parents regularly tell me their children become happier, more confident and more positive about school as a whole.
