What to Expect When You Choose Learn With Amelia

Choosing a tutor is an important decision.

As a parent, you want to know that your child will feel supported, encouraged and genuinely enjoy their learning experience.

At Learn With Amelia, I aim to make the process simple, reassuring and tailored to your family's needs.

My focus is on understanding your child as an individual - not just their academic level, but their confidence, personality, interests and hobbies.

Because the more I understand your child, the more effectively I can support them.

Working Alongside School Learning

Tutoring should complement-not replace-what children are learning at school.

As a qualified primary teacher, I'm familiar with the National Curriculum and understand how learning develops from Reception through to Year 6.

This means I can reinforce classroom learning while adapting lessons to meet your child's individual pace and needs.

Creating Independent Learners

One of my long-term goals is to help children become less dependent on tutoring-not more.

Rather than giving answers, I encourage children to:

  • Think independently
  • Explain their reasoning
  • Solve problems creatively
  • Reflect on mistakes
  • Develop resilience
  • Build positive learning habits

Every lesson is delivered by a qualified primary teacher-not a tutoring agency.

Lessons are personalised, relationships are built on trust and encouragement, and children are supported to become confident, independent learners rather than simply preparing for the next test.

I work with children throughout the primary years, supporting learners from Reception to Year 6.

Yes.

Online sessions are interactive, engaging and designed to provide the same high-quality personalised learning experience as face-to-face tuition.

Absolutely.

Lessons are carefully planned around your child's current learning while also addressing any gaps in understanding and building confidence.

Every child develops at their own pace.

Some families notice increased confidence within just a few weeks, while academic progress naturally builds over time through consistent support.
